New Husband and New Stuff!!

HEY HEY!
So as of today Eric and I have been married for one week, and so far so good :)

I love being married, it's a whole new take on life and I can't even describe how wonderful it is to come home to the apartment and someone else is there. I will eventually post more about the wedding once I get my pictures back, but until then I figured I'd give some updates on our little apartment and how its gradually looking more like a home.

So here are some pictures that I took on my phone, its not every room and some of the images aren't the best, but I think its coming along!

Eric is loving our kitchen, he's made dinner almost every night this week. Last night was tacos!

So since I'm a complete dish fanatic we had to move our mugs out of the cabinets to make room. We decided to use these IKEA Grundtal rails to display them all! (Eric wants you to know he screwed these into the wall with just a screwdriver...he's so manly)

Our other big purchase was this  Hemnes bookcase also from IKEA. It rocks! We had so many books and knick-knacks stuck in boxes still that this really helped clear all them out. It feels really sturdy too so I'm very pleased with it.
Shout out to Grandma K for making that sweet wooden ampersand that I just adore!

Eric made this little cozy corner all by himself. :) I came home one day with everything rearranged and it works great. Snaps for him!! Maybe its all the HGTV I watch...guess its rubbing off on him.

We also finally got a comforter!!!! Still working on the bed frame though :)

We also are hoping to get this beautiful wine cabinet from Craig's List to store all the extra dishes and wine glasses we don't use or simply don't have the space to store right now. It's being sold for only $85! I"m super pumped to attack it with paint and maybe some glaze if I'm feeling brave. What do you think?

The last picture I'm going to share is a Kanney family tradition, the "Heisman" has been passed from married couple to married couple for the past I don't know how many years and it just makes me laugh every time I look at it. Unfortunately we only get to hang on to it until December, then it gets shipped off to Chicago!

bummer.... :)

So like I said before, so far so good! Of course I have a list a mile long of things I think we still need to get/ I really really want...but I have a feeling thats just how its going to be for a while. Well I hope you have a great day and if you're ever in the Cincinnati area please stop by!!
